July Earth: Sunburned Saguaros

Hello everyone, I haven't forgotten about you. Here it is, the last day of July, and I am finally able to focus and write. For the past four weeks my city's daytime temperatures have been above 110 degrees with a record low of 95. It is mind-boggling to see the temperature read 106 when you are going to bed at 10 p.m. It is even too hot to swim.
